Six years ago, The Orchard helped plant a non-denominational women’s Bible study called SonRise. Most of the women from The Orchard participate, as well as women from all over Northern Door County. Here are our offerings for the winter/spring of 2019:

“Many of us understand faith intellectually, but our hearts have not quite kept up with our heads. Sonship is designed to help you take some of the glorious theological truths of the gospel – truths you may know in your head – and apply them to the nitty-gritty reality of daily life.”
January 3 – 24  (4 week devotional)
Power of Words
– 6:30 – 7:30 pm (souper-supper begins at 5:30 pm)
– Amy’s House (10006 Water Street – Hwy 42 – Ephraim)
“Words are powerful!  They can encourage and strengthen others, heal wounded hearts, honor God, and bring Him great delight … Words can also be destructive.  An unruly tongue can cause great pain and havoc, damaging lives, and grieving the heart of God.  The good new is … our tongues can be transformed by the grace of God and the power of His spirit.  In this study , you’ll discover the connection between your heart and your words.  You will be challenged to examine your heart and to consider the consequences of your words.  And you’ll gain practical insight on “tongue control” from the Word of God   The Power of Words devotional will help you use your tongue to glorify God and bless others!”

Each year the women of The Orchard and other churches have a Christmas tea to kick-off our January SonRise studies. Here are some pictures from our tea of 2018 at the Kress Center in Egg Harbor.
